    My dad gave me his old electrician's toolbox from the 1960's when he worked on Navy aircraft. It had a padlock that he had lost the key to, so he hadn't looked inside of it for many years and forgot what was in it.

    We cut the lock off. Inside was a lot of standard tools, in very good condition, that would probably cost a few hundred bucks if you bought them new today.

    But what really caught my attention was this (on the back it says "Safe even for a baby's skin!" -- right above the instructions for use in case of chemical or radioactive contamination).

    That's a great story Random walk! Its amazing common agents used in the past are regarded as harmful now. I remember as a kid playing in the attic and the pink (fiberglass) insulation was all over the place
