    Here is a live version of Crazy done by The Dead Milkmen, with Pylon lead singer on vocals. Decades ago, she left Pylon and worked as a librarian. That seems to have led to some serious weight gain.

    Saw most of those bands around Atlanta and occasionally Athens in the '80s. Pylon's Crazy, Stop IT, M Train; awesome songs.

    Was listening to this song a couple days ago while riding. Despite it being one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands, I always thought they wrote it. Wrong. It's a Yoko Ono song. I hope I never hear her version of it.

    Galaxie 500 performing Listen, the Snow is Falling.

    Ok, it's not a video of Galaxie 500. I can't find one. I either have to load a still shot of an album cover to get a really great album version, or load a video of Dean and Britta performing the song. Dean Wareham was the heart and soul of Galaxie 500, so that seems acceptable. Only the high-def version won't load properly.

    I enjoyed the Bob Dylan cover, mostly the woman playing violin. It could have used a harmonica player though.

    On the same YouTube page was this cover of Pleasure and Pain;

    Yeah, the Ella Hooper number is solid, too. This is one of my favorites for the contrasts in voices and visuals, a beauty and the beast perhaps? But a great song

    I was a bit tired from yesterdays ride and decided to skip the nationwide, possibly worldwide theatrical presentation of a Nick Cave concert movie that was played in art theaters one night only last evening.

    To keep with the Aussie theme, here is Death Is Not The End, featuring Nick Cave, Kylie Minogue, Shane MacGowan, and Blixa Bargeld.

    Nick Cave is such an amazing talent, I thought I'd post a second video of him performing Hallelujah. It's not the Leonard Cohen version. It is a Nick Cave original.

    Word on the streets is that Matt Johnson is putting The The back together and heading to the U.S. in September for a seven city tour. I suspect it will include a new release.

    Here is a track off Hanky Panky, covers of Hank Williams.

    Song has been covered to death, and this is at least 2nd time for Byrne, but this one is amazing--the female vocalist has both incredible voice and moves to go along--mesmerizing...

    What do you get when you cross Ella Fitgerald's version of "Cry Me A River" with some James Bond theme sounding music?

    You get Lana's version, which while staying true to the original version, at the same time sounds like it could open a Bond movie.
