Funnily enough, I saw an almost-mint condition P11 on ebay a couple of years ago, but the money was too much for me They are a rare US import only...

I want one of these. It's expensive, but not out of reach by an average Joe Schmoe like me ($6500 + $1200 for hand throttle control + the cost of a PWC).

Yeah I see them all over Vancouver too. I have a poor man's electric car, a Nissan Leaf.

The nice version goes for $100K, the base version is like $60K, but I imagine there's some other unavoidable adders to that price.

These suckers are definitely in the high end of prices and the ones I've seen look decked out. They seem to be pretty high performance if some of the highway accelerations I've seen is any indication.

I'm in Seattle, I wonder if they're mainly a West Coast thing right now. I really do see a lot of them on the road. Interesting on color, Hawg, I think I'm seeing black and maybe silver around here, but there's a lot of white ones as well. I haven't seen that burgandy yet, I like it.

I've seen a couple here in the Bay Area as well. Those Teslas are so quick on the pick-up because the electric motors can deliver all of their possible torque instantly.

/Nerd moment off. I still want a Tesla.

I'd also like to see the guys at Top Gear BBC review one.

Give me a rumbling gas guzzling screaming

I'm good. like a Ford GT, although I've seen many
on the street. The hottest one I have seen was in
San Diego. It was gun metal grey with silver stripes. The motor easily visable through the clear plexiglass out back.

    A polished out blown and injected 650 H.P. V-8. I
followed the dude in to a parking lot and stopped
and checked it out. That car is pure sex on

I'm with DJ. Tesla is a nice looking car, but I'd rather have a Ford GT.

However I sure wish I'd have stock piled on Tesla future back in March when I started seeing them on street all over the place. TSLA was trading around $38 then, now it's $120+

Yeah - the Gallardo placed Lamborghini in permanent new-footing. Top Gear had viewers call it dated and ugly - that's a timeless car IMO.

No bike rack on mine if it were, tires would be on it for only a few tanks of gas anyway!!??!

I would like an old landcruiser. And then drive around Utah, Colo, AZ and death valley in it without worrying about it breaking down or paying for gas.

Goes without saying - and applies (without the word "flyer") to just about everything else posted so far - unless you just want to look at it

(people tend to assume that they can handle a car, motorbike, or speedboat, until they find their Porsche or Ducati wrapped around a tree, or speedboat or Swan on a rock)

You weren't born with the ability. Neither did you get it by buying the gear. You actually had to develop the skills.

All this B.S. back and forth because I mentioned having flying skills before attempting to fly such an expensive radio controlled plane. Chill out it does need to be said. All the high dollar moorcycles, cars and boats mentioned are far more novice friendly compared to one of those planes. One time up without being an accomplished pilot and the plane is toast.

I would like a 6 voice analog macbeth synth, with all modules x6. And of course a garbage bag full off green stuff to accompany the sound.

Or maybe a microwave oven? Possibly a Whirlpool.

What do you mean "radio controlled"?

The one I posted is man-carrying. Over 15' long and top wing is over 17'.

Ha,ha well then this whole thing is my fault. I thought it was a very expensive radio controlled one. So basically there is nothing to see here, everyone move along now.

How come there aren't more women like you?

I like the pick up version of Landcruiser (FJ45). Check out icon4x4.com sometime. They make FJs with modern running gears. Spendy, but really cool.

Ever since this thread started, I've seen nearly a dozen Teslas while I'm out and about. I didn't know there were so many OC lurkers around here. Why don't all you lurkers come out and play?
