i know, poo. i'd be willing to START around 1 or 2 if the trails were any bit dried out by then but i hardly doubt it. LDT has it's rocky and rooty stuff, i've slipped and slid all over it in the wet before.

If bikes were that noisy all the time, I think I'd quit riding. Tell him to take the stick out of his spokes! AND another thing!! Say NO to vertical videos!!

i agree about hitting roots under leaves with both wheels.

Yeah :spammer: anyways, put on the new grips tonight. My new battery came in for the cell phone. I can take okay quality pics again. Though, the battery is huge, and the cover but I'll take longer hours any day. It's raining out, looks to be this whole weekend for the northeast. I'm kind of pissed cause I've not been riding much because of no cell phone. Picked up some tools from the LBS and ordered a club jersey. It's the simple things in life that make someones day.

I think the new battery helped with the quality of the pics.

I promised the Phoenix police officer that just pulled me over that I would spread the word in exchange for not getting a citation. My hitch mounted bike rack, when folded up, blocks my license plate, yours probably does too. The law states that your license plate must be visible.

Now, I'm going out to remove my rack until the next time that I actually need it.

I run Hope M4's with 183mm rotors front and back. The pads look pretty good so far but i would say they would have to be wearing faster than stopping a set of light wheels.

It's a 5megapixle cam on it. The new mytouch has eight. I would invest in a actual camera but I ride in the NE everything looks the same. Out west at least you guys have nice surrounds if you know what I mean.

Opti, I've heard that too. I used to keep mine on all the time but eventually decided to only have it on when needed... which is only when I'm haulin' a buddy. I just pull my front wheel off and tuck my bike in the bed of my truck when I'm alone.

Did you ask the officer what the other 2 reasons were why he/she pulled you over? They usually spot 3 things wrong before they decide to pull you over.

I'm gonna try this camera set up tomorrow.

Should be a very similar field of view as a handle bar mount, but since it's on the top tube, should be very stable and smooth. (compared to handle bar always swingin around)

Also I'm going to set it to:

SD (60 fps) but narrower FOV
    vs.
HD which is wider FOV, but 30 fps.

Hoping to try and minimize 'jello' effect.

Bull ****!!! You've got gorgeous scenery out that way! We don't get to see the intense Fall color change out here like you've got. We don't get 4 actual seasons like you've got. Yeah, when the lights came on I thought for sure that I just bought at a minimum a speeding ticket. I was polite, and I kept my word to spread the word.

I went up to Sedona back in the summer 2 Fridays in a row, once in my Mustang, the next week in my Pathfinder. My GPS data for my Mustang trip averaged me at 81 mph from my driveway all the way into Sedona, with a top speed of 127 mph. I had a couple of runs where I was up around 110 for several minutes on end. The following week, in my Pathfinder, I got stopped for 63 in a 55, LOL.

It's just a protective lens cover...(CamLens) plus a couple of inner tube cross sections, about an inch wide each. They help keep dirt out, and also my casing is pretty much shot. The feature where the lens rotates, is all worn out so the lens wants to rotate while I'm riding.

The tubes hold it in position.

I really need a new camera.

Yeah, 70 ooo chilly it was like 20 with gusty winds the other morning . I'd take dry and hot with no trees any day of the week. Your trade off is mountain lions, cougars, and other animals that will actually eat you where you live. I don't know much about the Auz guys on here but there area looks like NorCal.

So what weather do you and everyone else hate to ride in. For me it's the 30-40 degree temp, high humidity, windy, with rain or that annoying drizzy. Almost like it is right now till next Weds. It just sucks the life out of me.

Hawg, you failed to ask about the beige colored wire nut glued to the top, on the on-off slider.

First, the on-off slider got really tight and hard to slide back and forth, especially with gloves on. The wire nut glued up there made it easy to slide back and forth.

Now, the slider is completely worn out and just glides around up there if unrestrained. So now the wire nut makes a great place to anchor the required rubber band, which holds it in either the on or the off position.

EDIT: I really need a new camera.
