2014 Off Camber Jersey and Technical T Ordering

    ------------- Updated ---------------------

---------- The ordering period for the 2014 Jerseys has ended. There's always next year. ---------------------

We are set for our 2014 edition of the Off Camber Jersey. I think the design came out outstanding this year. Monogod deserves a special thank you for supplying the picture scene used on the front.

As with last year, we have two different offerings: a traditional cycling jersey and an technical t version. For the technical t version, there is a separate men's and women's version. The cycling jersey is men's only. There are size charts for each item in our storefront. Please see note below about sizing.

    Men's Technical T ("Ultimate Jersey")

    Women's Technical T ("Ultimate Jersey")

Men's Cycling Jersey (relaxed or club fit, denoted as "Bronze fit")

Men's Cycling Jersey ("silver" version: better material, tighter fit, touch more expensive)

    Sizing:
Carefully review the size charts that are posted in the storefront (see link below). Forget any notion of what small, medium and large mean in clothes. Forget what you think you where in a pants sizes. All clothes are now vanity sized. A 36" waist on a pair of jeans means that your waist is probably upwards of 38" or even 40". Buy a cheap tape measure and take your measurements to use on the size chart. If you have any doubts, order 1 size up if you want a looser fit. The ultimate t is an athletic fit, so you may want to go 2 sizes up (base this on the measurements you take and the fit you want).

    Prices:
The traditional cycling jerseys are $60 or $70 each depending on the material (bronze vs. silver). The ultimate jersey is $45. To me, this is an amazing deal for a custom, one-off sublimated jersey. $5 for shipping will be added and there is no tax. You will pay podiumwear directly through the ordering process. You can use major credit cards.

    How to order:
Ordering is available through an online store front. You will need the password ....to enter the store (no quotes).

Edit: link removed since store front has closed

Once you enter the storefront, you can pick the version and size that you desire. You can order as many as you would like.

When do I get my jersey?
Production of the jersey will start once we close the store front. Right now, I have it set to close at 1/31/2014. The manufacturer will send the jersey directly to you when it is produced. This may be late Feb or early March.

I'm not affiliated with the company or the shipping in any way, but if you have general questions, I can try to answer them.

If you are curious why I chose Podiumwear, I simply like what they stand for and they make everything locally. I realize there are a lot of good companies out there, but I would rather be on my bike than shopping for clothes.

Great job, heyyall. A couple of questions before I place my order. It appears that the Ultimate T-shirt does not have the "Ride More, Whine Less" script on the side panels as the cycling jersey does. Is this correct? What is the difference between the Bronze and Silver jersey (I couldn't tell from the storefront). Also, last year's design is still showing up on the Ultimate design order page. Do you know if this is still available?

That is correct, the tech t doesn't have the words. The reason is that it doesn't have a side panel -- there is a seam that runs right where the words would go. We tried a version with words above and below the seam, but that didn't work. So, we opted for no words.

    Silver vs. bronze:
There is some product literature here https://www.podiumwear.com/uploads/c...ng_Catalog.pdf See page 13 for the silver jersey info and page 29 for the bronze info in the link for the details. Essentially, bronze is a relaxed fit and silver is more fitted. The sizing charts are different as a result, so pay attention to that as you look your size up. In terms of the fabric materials, the silver is slightly better materials. I don't know if it is worth the $10 extra, but that is the one I wanted, so that is why it is being offered this year.

    Ohhh stop!!

There's no such thing as "long sleeve weather" in Hawaii, especially on the side you live on.

    Long sleeve...Hawaii...

I don't own a single long sleeve jersey in MN. I use pull up arm warmers and polar fleece.

Ever worn wooly goat leggings on your arms during a cold ride? That would surely draw some attention.

All joking aside,I will most likely get one this time.

Are these the same as before? Can I get a better idea of the differences in fit and size,by reading through the other thread?

2014 Off Camber Jersey and Technical T Ordering

Best advice-ignore the other thread and use the correct size chart and a tape measure; go up in size if some of the measurements are close to the limit.

The ultimate tees fit like an athletic shirt. They are designed to be close to the body. If you want baggy, go two sizes up.

The regular cycling jerseys are made to fit against the skin. The silver one is a slim fit; the bronze is a relaxed fit. By relaxed, it means a little forgiving around the waistline. I have an XL bronze and a XXL silver from some other orders. These two fit essentially the same.
Edit: I just tried both jerseys on. The silver is definitely more form fitting through the midsection. The bronze is fortunately (perhaps finally) loose around my midsection. If you are fitter, the silver will fit better.

For the cycling jerseys, you can also cross reference sizes at the LBS. The primal wear jerseys in their club fit are like the bronze jersey fit. I don't have an ultimate jersey to compare, but maybe somebody could compare fits to standard athletic tees that can be found at sports authority and the like.

Thanks heyyall! I think I'll probably go with the ultimate tee.Am I right to assume it's some kind of polyester blend, like most athletic shirts?

We wear long sleeves in Hawaii when we want to look cool.

I am definitely going to get the Ultimate T cause I like the way it fits. I'm just bouncing between the silver and the bronze jersey.

Is it just me, or is there nowhere to see the colors of these jerseys?!?
I am def in the market for some new bike wear, my 2 other 4 year old tops are getting a little funky now, but I am sensitive that nothing clashes with my flawless complexion and stunning hair color...

What color? What you see in the first post is what it is. Greyscale matches everything.

On the jersey sizing chart,I would fit an x-large the best.I almost always buy large shirts, sometimes they are a little tight,x-large are usually too big.

    I'm thinking I should get the x-large.

I have been told by the manufacture to go by the size chart; forget anything you think of when it comes to sizing and when in doubt go up a size.

I was kinda thinking out loud about comparing their sizes to regular clothes sizes.I'll go by the size chart and get an XL. If its a little snug,I've got plenty of extra weight I can burn off to make it fit

    Whats this ???

"The order will ship to your coach or team representative, it will not be directly shipped to you. The handling cost is to cover one shipment to your team representative"
Thats BS ! So now you have to get the details and ship the jerseys to everyone ?

No, that is just the standard email for the store front --which is mostly used by teams for orders. Podiumwear will mail each jersey out directly to the people that ordered.

Well he should have told me his size and I could have sent an extra one.

Good to hear, that would have been a PITA for you ship them worldwide.

You can wash it with a red shirt and have it be an original, custom blend.

I really loved last years jersey. I hope we go with bright colors again for 2015. wink wink.

I like to be seen and noticeable when I ride. Especially when I'm on the road. The Big Island has to be one of the worst places to ride a bike. The drivers here are not use to having pedestrians or bikers on the shoulder lane, sidewalk, or bike lanes. A LOT of people commute by personal vehicle here. I got hit last year riding home. I've also been almost hit a couple of times when using the crosswalk. It's crazy. So now I have a bright orange backpack that I wear when I ride to work. Plus flashing lights and of course a headlight. I got lucky when that car hit me last year. I could have died.

Anyways, so lets got with bright jerseys next year. So I can live to see another year. =)

EDIT: N/M. I just typed in my shipping addy as the billing address and the card didn't get declined. Ordered an Ultimate jersey.

So is that why you invited Heyall to Hawaii so you could knock him off when you and him go for a ride.

That's because of all the funny plants people are under the influence of in Hawaii. A bright jersey would just distract them directly into you.

24 hours until the store front closes. If you want to order, now is time to pull out the plastic and ask for forgiveness later.

Ok, I am a procrastinator. Going to order the Ultimate Jersey but this sizing thing has me all confused. What size does a 6'0" 195lb lad like me get? XXXL if I am normally an XL?

I'd go with one size up from what you normally wear in bike jerseys.

^ when in doubt, go a size up. If you have a tape measure, measure yourself and pick the sizing accordingly. The ultimate tees have an athletic fit, so they are close to your skin. If you want a baggy shirt, go a couple sizes larger.

Are the other types looser fitting? I was under the assumption the ultimate is the looser one.. Dammit, gonna ask the wife if she has the tape measure for this type of thing.. I only have a regular metal tape measure.

Use a string and then measure the string length to the metal tape measure. This way you don't raise suspicion.

In terms of fit of the regular cycling jerseys, yes, these are supposed to be against the skin. The bronze jersey are less tailored around the midsection and seem to be closer to normal sizing. For example, I wear an XL in bronze and in Tshirts. I wear an XXL in the silver. I ordered an XXL silver jersey.

The ultimate tees is just marketing. They are running jerseys (I asked them that). So, they fit like a standard running shirt you could find in a sports store.

I'm thinking they all fit about the same except the that Ultimate jersey does not have an elastic waist band.

"Order successful" Went with the XXL Ultimate. If I went with the other types of against the skin fitting shirts I am afraid people may start asking me how far along I am in my pregnancy.

Last year, I ordered the full zipper front jersey model in my actual size and it's a little tight but I feel it's supposed to be like that. It has an elastic waist band.

This year, I'm going with the t-shirt jersey model in one size larger. I expect to wear the fibers out of the fabric on this one because it comes in my kind of colors this year.

Looking way forward to getting it!

That is probably a fair statement. The shape between the bronze and silver jerseys is noticeably different, though. My son has a ultimate jersey and wears it all the time.

Okay, I ordered a jersey. Don't want to be left out. You know, I'm trying to fit in with the popular kids...

Don't tell my wife I used her card.

And yeah, just under the wire. If I'm meeting you for a ride, I'll be there, but I won't be early!

I haven't looked in my email from when I ordered to see if it was stated or not, but will there be a notice when they ship? Not that I can't look on the porch every day, just curious.
