Ah, it is all made up anyway, but I think you are right. Today is the less widely known Hallmark holiday of Adopt a Mod day. Given the recent sock puppet assassination, I do have my doubts.

Yup, there's been quite a few "end of the world" predictions over the years. I'll never forget the Code 3 (lights and sirens) drill our local sheriff's department had prior to Y2K. I was driving around with a friend and encountered a line of ten squad cars rolling code. A bunch of deputies were at the end of a cul-de-sac in a deserted business district. I found out later that it was preparation for possible trouble on Y2K.

I thought I repped the mods who helped me with my troll problem back in February, but I'm not sure. Guess I'll just have to rep them again!

Today since we didn't all perish, what made your 12-12-12 memorable?
For me, work was frustrating, and unproductive, as I wrestled with Windows 8,
(To override the start screen, re-position the desktop tile by dragging it to upper left corner/ restart)

Rather than escape for a much-needed hard ride, I managed to squeak in a double track, double-dog training ride.
Recently rescued a 30# pooch, and today was his 1st MTB adventure. He remained on leash while his big-bro, a #100 lab,
ran about wildly to sniff / piss / gobble anything in site. To avoid encounters, I chose a combo of old closed roads, and remote rarely-used trails.

The noob was smart enough to avoid the bike, kept pace alongside, and may become a fine trail dog.
The simple satisfaction of watching them both having so much fun made me forget all else.
Hope you too had a great one to remember.
