    WNC mountain vacation?

For those of you with some local knowledge. I would like to rent a cabin in WNC this summer, looking to hike, bike and just hang out in the mountains. We would like to take our 2 dogs as well. Does anyone have any places they would recommend I look into? Thank you!

    Down to Earth

Check these guys out: Down to Earth Cabins

They are right outside Brevard, on the French Broad river. Super cool and you're smack in the middle of Pisgah, Dupont and Brevard.

May is a great time to come to Asheville and ride Pisgah or Dupont. Dupont has more moderate singletrack and wide track with many waterfall views. Pisgah is more technical with challenging singletrack in more remote parts of the forest. Both places offer amazing riding. Here are a few places we recommend staying. Mike and Claudia Nix at Liberty Bikes in Asheville has a cool cabin for rent called Trail's End near Asheville with riding out your door in Bent Creek. Vacation in the Heart of Cycling Paradise - At Asheville's Favorite Bike Shop

Pro Biker Adam Craig stayed at The Red House Inn in Brevard. Red House Inn - A Brevard, NC Bed and Breakfast

Rebecca Banner has a perfect, cozy cottage rental in Asheville that would be excellent for a mountain vacation. Asheville Vacation Rental - VRBO 169068 - 2 BR Smoky Mountains House in NC, Walk to Downtown from Charming Cottage, in Historic Montford

Pro racer Jeremiah Bishop stayed at the Bear Ridge Cabin in Brevard. Brevard Vacation Rental - VRBO 309725 - 2 BR Smoky Mountains Cabin in NC, Charming Mountainside Cabin with Plenty of Upgrades & Privacy

Hope you have a great trip and keep riding!! Home - Pisgah Mountain Bike Adventures

Cranmore Cottages has a cabin in Penrose (?) called Stoney Brook cottage. It's convenient to both Dupont and Pisgah and is pet friendly.

Check out the Nantahala Outdoor Center. Plenty of cabins for rent between Bryson City area and the NOC. The Tsali Trails, among others are nearby. There is great hiking, rafting and kayaking. The NOC is also a great place to eat, a couple of good restaurants. I'm not from there but have gone many times. Always a great time. Otherwise, the Asheville area. It's a great town to hang out and as PisgahMTBAdventures, already said, plenty of riding, etc. it is also the home of a great beer store, Bruisin Ales and some great eating.
