I think I can drive your Tundra because of the long floorboard but the Ford.....not so much. What time are you leaving?

Rocks-moisture-leafs......not a good mixture. Too many crashes to count, my man bmbass took a wicked rock body slam and that wound up the day, but he pinned the creek gap 3 times.I told him to just send it off that booter you won't get muffed! We are taking a rake next weekend!! and maybe a couple of backpack blowers!

im thinking of going to windrock later or even in the spring and have a few questions..

do you have to have a shuttle?
if not what is the ride back up like?
    do they offer shuttles?
so the trails get loose with the leaves and acorns?

im a nebie and want to go check it out..
is it to much for a nebie to start on...
if so can you point me to the right trails with jumps, burms, whoops, for a nebie....

anything eles i might need to know be for i go......

"Windrock" is a mountain that a coal company owns and charges a $17 dollar fee for a one day pass. There are hundreds of ATV's,motorcycles,rockcrawlers/jeeps there on Sat&Sunday and a few bicycles. The bike trails are separate from the other trails. Just being open 2 days a week(Probably more)they are probably taking in $250,000.00 a year just for entry! Just sign the waiver and go for it! I have only been there a few times, but I'm totally hooked!

    Yes you need a shuttle.
The ride up on my xc bike would be a great workout; On my dh bike a death march!
    No they don't offer shuttles
Yes the trails get slick with wet leafs and your bike speeds up when u brake!

You can get more info on ridemonkey http://www.ridemonkey.com/forums/sho...=235820&page=7
these guys ride alot more dh stuff and there is a map of the ATV trails but not of the bike trails, its better going with someone who's been before.
I'm a noob when it comes to dh, but you can walk around the drops and gaps and just ride through the rocks.

    Thursday

My son in law and grandson want to go to Clemson Thursday. The kids are out of school, but the SIL doesn't know if he can get off work. Hopefully we will be able to go early and get back for Flat Top riding, a twofer day. My younger daughter gets out of class at three and said she would drive the shuttle. She also has a classmate with a Demo who wants to come up. I will let you the plan ASAP.
