    Where is the singletrack?

Lots of talk on here recently and in the past about machine built vs. hand built trail. A few here have posted that Black Mtn is perfect as it is, you would think they were passionate about saving/protecting some sacred single track trail. And that leads me to ask the question: Where is the single track?

All of the sacred single track is not spoken about on here.

It is impossible to keep single track tight forever with so many users with different riding abilities and styles riding these trails. For every person that hugs the main line and hucks all the drops there are 5 people that will ride around it in different ways. The quest for everlasting single track is futile.

If anyone knows of "perfect single track" - ride it, enjoy it: it won't last forever, no matter how hard anyone tries. We have to come together, all users, and find that "middle ground to ride on" so to speak, otherwise it will never be anything but conflict which will hinder any "growth in our futures".

I think a lot of the real "single" track is over on Squirrel Gap. That trail is very narrow in spots. I often get the feeling that it is trying to throw me off the side of the mountain.
Friends don let friends ride road bikes.
