    Watch out for that bump!

Anyone else notice this sign on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Best road sign out there right now in my opinion

    That's funny right there...

IIRC, it really means slow down for a curve ahead. Nothing like zipping into a blind curve on your scoot and suddening realizing that there's gravel or leaves all over the road!

There is a fairly large bump exiting the curve where the road has been repaired due to a rock slide. It is the curve just past Bent Creek Gap right before you enter Ferrin Knob Tunnel # 1. Went hiking at Black Balsam yesterday and I laughed my a$$ off both times I passed the sign. Ain't life great

I believe that sign is instructing you to stand on your ride, and surf asphalt over the next hill, ...those guys are lookin' out for ya'.

Yeah, the pic was taken this past Friday. It's of the lower falls of Graveyard Fields. Everything over around 4000 ft should be at peak this weekend. I am going to head back up to Black Balsam this Saturday and do some more hiking and take some more photos. Here are a few photos taken in the Black Balsam area around 6000 ft. elevation.

Sweet. I can't wait to get up there! I'll probably arrive Sunday afternoon or sometime around there.
