Upcoming Tsali Ride - 2 bikes or 1??

I have 4 day riding trip to Tsali and likely Ocoee trails. Curious on thoughts on bringing two bikes. My primary ride is a Trek Fuel EX8 so that one is coming regardless - the other is a hand built (well not the frame) single speed.

I mostly ride trails like whitewater center, Lake Norman state park and find myself needing more gearing on the flats/smooth areas - hardly any hills give me trouble. My gearing is 36x20...or 46.8 gear inches when considering the crank. I see most people riding Tsali on a SS are 32x20/18 (41.6 gear inches with the 20t).

I don't have a smaller chainring or a larger cog to lower the gearing on the SS...so do we think Tsali will be to difficult with this gearing - given my riding styles noted above?

Unless you try to chase people a lot faster than you are....then it can hurt you.

This phenomenon also holds true on beer runs to the local 7-11.

Do you want to be there and wish you brought both?

If bringing both is an option, it is better to have and not want then want and not have.
If I go out of town and bringing both bikes is an option, I always bring both bikes just in case.
Just stick it in granny and start grinding.

4 days, I'd bring both just for variety.
