    Trails near Rutherfordton NC

I'm looking for some trails in the Rutherfordton, NC area and was wondering what my options are. If you're familiar with the area please chime in and let me know of some good trails. Even if its 30 to 45 minutes away let me know.

    Thanks for your help,

If you can stretch your drive time closer to an hour, the trails are well worth the extra miles.

    Bent Creek, DuPont, Pisgah
Just stick it in granny and start grinding.

You're also a bit over an hour from Wilson Creek. And Old Fort is only like 30-40 minutes from you.

Apparently there are trails in Green River Gorge area too:

SUNSHINE ENDURO | Green River Games

When I'm in the area visiting from Austin, I typically head for Brevard/Pisgah, DuPont or Bent Creek. It was too wet to hit up Old Fort on my last trip, but that's on my list.

There's also riding at South Mountains State Park near Casar, but it's all old logging roads, no single track (that I'm aware of).

The trails at Green River Game Lands just opened up to bikes.
They are fun but not what I would recommend over things like DuPont or Bent Creek.
When I was there a couple weeks ago, lots of down trees.

Unless you have ridden DuPont, Bent Creek and most of Pisgah proper, I would recommend not visiting them (at least not yet).
