    Technical Trails

Can someone recommend a trail that invovles a long technical descent but with no stunts and climbing is no issue with me. Also I have heard of a trail called the Knob on 181 does that fit the description Preferably near Morganton

Farlow is probably the best answer I know of too,

I would also say Bennett Gap, the upper portion stays pretty gnarly for a while. (the lower section is fun, but does not match your requirement)

You could go to Kitsuma, in Black mountain. A little closer to Morganton.

    Heartbreak Ridge

Or if you want to stay closer to Morganton, the AT.

Of all the trails up 181 & Wilsons, I don't know any that "require" you ride any stunts. They all have ride-a-rounds. Like AmosIv said, the AT run is good. Most any trail is good for fairly lengthy decents. Heart Break in Old Fort is awesome & Kitsuma.

Avery creek the upper portion is just plain nasty

Black mtn from presley gap to the ranger station

Daniel Ridge short but lots of rocks and erosion

Trace ridge not as techy but a ton of fun

    Big Creek

Closer to Morganton would be Wilsons Creek for certain. Lots of trails in there that fit your exact description. Also, little known trail called Snooks Knob on hte parkway just past the Cedar Creek intersection around 5-6 miles before the turnoff to Mt Mitchell
