alright here is the lowdown. i grew up in cincinnati but have lived in az from age 18-28. now the special lady friend and i are looking to move, possibly back a little closer to the kinfolk in ky. therefore, i am used to cold, rain, and humidity as well as drought, heat, and blazing sun. my relocation choices are salt lake city, boise, and charlotte. i really like it out west but would like to get a little closer.
i would like to know anything you can give me about charlotte. i am obviously interested in the quality of riding, proximity of trails (hiking, biking), etc. i am also interested in things that only a chamber of commerce, league of municipalities, or riders w/ some extra time on their hands could answer! i am referring to good non-apartment places to rent (eventually will buy a house once settled), good neighborhoods, flat vs. hilly, average incomes and home prices, job market, culture, weather, traffic, and anything else you would like to graciously share! another question that may seem dumb, but are there good places to live where i can ride my beach cruiser? i currently live in a cool neighborhood where i can ride the cruiser almost anywhere.
i spent some time in tuxedo / hendersonville as a pup and really liked it, but i heard jobs are scarce in western nc including asheville.
