    Sas 4.0...........

Here in the BC hood we are planning on having our fourth race..........this time around I will be in the herd racing round and round. At the Richmond Hill Urban Assault earlier this year there was a handfull of fixie riders.......so I'm thowing out a challenge. Come race on a fixie and see if you can beat me in my own back yard.......Troll, you know I'm out for revenge.

Anyway to get a map of the course?

I am an ultra n00b and way over weight. But having a blast with my new sport and I would love to do something like this.

How tolerant are these events to fat n00bs?

Once you ride it you'll see that a map is not really needed, it's about an 8 minute lap with a little bit of everything (not too steep not too technical).........I'd be happy to show you around anytime for a pre-ride.

    Flushed

Let`s see, Sept 18th is the Asheville Citizens Half -Marathon( entered already) and then Nov 6th is Shut-in Ridge Run(entered already)
A race on Fixies would be a nice short intense effort and will fit into my training very nicely.. Consider this though

    n00b alert:
So is this a single lap race or number of laps you can complete in so many minutes?

    Is it n00b tolerant?

Yes it's "noob tolerant", with a mass 50 yard run to the bikes......you ride for 45 minutes after which a bell is sounded indicating the last lap. It's be an average of about five laps for the field......it's ok to get lapped though and have fun for a good cause.

This race series may be perceived as a "community event", but people have been known to drive over 50 miles to attend!!! Bring it on FatNoob.

Cheating is totally discouraged, but neat socks (cooler than plain white) would be a bonus for spectators.

LTH: I incurred a head injury I could not recall, and woke up with the ability to read Icelandic fluently.
