    rides early April?

Hey all-some how my wife agreed w/ my great idea of vacationing in Asheville for first week of April...meeting my (very sedentary) in laws so will be bringing my bike to hopefully ride as much as possible. I've been in area only once before several years ago-joined a group out of Carolina Fatz shop for a couple fun rides around Bent Creek-hoping to do similar or maybe Pisquah/Dupont if I can find a willing trail guide...I'm staying just south of Asheville so close to the good stuff from what I see, but would much rather tag along w/ someone that knows where they are going than stumble around getting lost...I'm your basic 47 yr old middle of the pack sport sometime racer guy, but coming out of Michigan induced hibernation, sure I'll be not ripping anyone's legs off..just my own...could be a 6 of some fine Michigan made microbrew in it for ya...if not, anyone know of any standing group rides that I may be able to latch onto? I'll be there from 3-30 to 4-6.

    Thanks in advance-

    Dan

I know DuPont pretty well and would be happy to take you around there.

You don't have to buy me beer, but Founders is my favorite Brewery and I sure would like to get my hands on a bottle of CBS.

Also check out the local meet up group. I am sure some of the guys that lead the rides wouldn't mind beer. lol

I will always ride for free beer, but usually can only make it up to PNF or Dupont on the weekends.
Friends don let friends ride road bikes.

cool-thanks for the offers, and that link...hitting Dupont during the week one day would probably work better for me than the weekend...k-you able to ride during the week? I'm flexible but during the week will likely be better for me to escape for a half day or so..

Don't know CBS...guessing you meant KBS?

Nope, I mean CBS but I don't know if they still make it.
It was down near impossible to get to begin with.
Have had KBS by the cases.

    Weekdays are tough.
    Can't promise anything there.

Crap, I forgot that was Easter weekend.
Yeah, I will be out of town anyways through Monday.
No way can I take another day off during the week but I will most likely cut out early enough to join the meet up group on Wed.

They usually do up to 15 miles.
