Instead of pulling them out of a hat.... I got some for ya.

Leave from race start, Sumney/215, Flat Laurel Creek, Bent Creek Gap, Turkey Pen Parking
    BS'ing less, riding more.

Why would I want to ride on the road for that long?

If the parkway's off limits, it's still a road ride: Fastest way as follows: Black-Turkey-(parking lot #1)- SMR-Bradley-5015-1206-wash creek rd-(BC GAP#2)- Wash creek road-1206-276-475-215-sumney(#3)- 215-Flat Laurel creek to wherever the cp is on it -215-276-477-claw-maxwell-black.

    and i'm not in

Listen here MB.... Hot air balloon might actually work better but your going to need a big fan too.

    AYR,

Not sure when my day to ride is yet... Also, not looking to "tortue" myself again till the actual day.

YES, but sadly it would not do ME any good. I'll be flying in from CA for my 4th PMBAR so I am hoping I will win some sorta prize for longest distance traveled (please do not let the prize be the uneaten portion of Dickie's burrito).
Just did my PMBAR prep ride here in the Sierra Mtns. Kinda a mini PMBAR but with a little to much road (to tie it all together) and way to much poison oak. Legs are tired (luckily not red, swollen and itchy). Time to start tapering and carbo loading (read: drink beer).

Someone else take his route suggestion. But be warned, we may never hear from you again.

not to step on Pisgah Pro's toes here, but i think i know how he picks checkpoints...so try this ride AYR.

go up black...look around, think which direction would be stupid painful..., if both ways look painful think about which direction would take you further away from the finish line. if you get to a trail that flows better in one direction, take it the opposite way. get wet. hike several times. eat a grilled cheese. now you are 1/3 of the way through your day... repeat 2 more times til finish
disclaimer: i (NO LONGER) live with my mom...
