    Pisgah road closure heads-ups

1)1206 is closed from N. Mills to Wolf Ford.
2)There is a new sign up at the bottom of 477 saying road closed to ALL traffic 2 miles ahead. Folks at the Ranger station could not say for how long. Lots of big dump trucks coming down 1206 last night.
Anyone have some insight? I assume they're fixing slides.

Noticed a bunch of new flags and markings at the slide on 1206 heading up to Yellow gap from NM. Hopefully it won't be closed off for too long.

hate it when you guys list numbers. Can't you just say the road that goes from Mills River to "X"?

The road that goes from N. Mills Campground to the main asphalt road that goes by the Ranger station is closed from the end of N Mills Campground to the gravel road that intersects said road and dead ends at the S. Mills River trail. There, better?

I wish the FS would stop spending money on roads that are always going to slide off the mountain.

477, 1206, and 475 are good examples. I don't know how many tens-of-thousands have been spent to try to fix those, and it's been a failure.

Spend that money on maintaining existing and building new trail. The future of the forest is not in auto travel.

PS: how does one learn that 1206@476 is Wolf Ford? The map shows nothing.

I don't know- signs said "All Traffic". I'd call the Ranger station, or play dumb.

Technically Wolf Ford is at the intersection of Squirrel and S. Mills.
