Performance has a tire called the "PISGAH"

Yep. According to their website these tires are responsive, which is almost as good as "evo" or "epic."

Did they have a new and special compound that sticks to wet rhododendron roots, and slime covered rocks and will last for an entire season regardless of mileage? Is it easy rolling with large corner lugs? Then it may be worthy of the name.

Looks like a nice tread pattern actually: Forté Pisgah 26x2.3 Folding Mountain Tire - Tires Up to 50% Off

Too bad it's just a cheap tire. If it had a decent sidewall and was light enough, i'd try it.

Wait so 26" is the proper wheel size for Pisgah afterall? Good thing I didn't fall for the 27.5 and 29 hype.

Wouldn't riding this tire in Pisgah be like wearing a t-shirt of the band you are seeing or one of the city you live in?
Just stick it in granny and start grinding.

The 29r sizes are only available in a tread pattern appropriate for front tires and a width that'd be good for rear. Maybe a winter rear?

So it sounds like it should have been called the Dupont.

I hear they are working on a 1.8" for bent creek called the "PAS." You get a discount for wearing spandex from a company that doesn't sponsor you. If you are running strava they might give you a set free.
