I will push Gabe,Karl and Janet to all anti-up and jump in PMBAR Fixie Style. I sent you a PM and many thanks for the offer for DD.
Do you think any body else in the area is ballsey enough to to PMBAR FIXED or is everyone still techno-weenies needing all the help they can get.
I bet everyone is skeered to death to toe the line on a fixed gear racing against a 60 year old dude

    You want smack talk?

Well let's see you win it big boy. At least the single speed cat.

It really just sounds to me that you like to hike and be seen with a bike.
If you really want a challenge buy an old school DH rig at over 40# and full of steel and squish. Then you could suffer even more knowing that every pedal stroke on every incline you would only receive a fraction of your efforts returned. Throw on some cantilever breaks and make it really interesting. Maybe it will rain for extra pleasure. At least your joints wouldn't get beat to death.

Are you sure you are not just a closet hiker who wants a bit of extra challenge and the chance to wear more lycra? Just askin'.

We're OK with it, you should be too

    Fixie it up.
He/she who works the trails does so in their own image.

I love lycra and short shorts, I also love running ultra distance trail races on my feet in tight compression shorts. I did also really like the Rocky Mountain RM7 i used to ride especially in New Mexico near Taos, now that was a little bit steep.
When i put the Rohloff on the RM7 i got it up to 42#, now that was a push for real, spin 110rpm and get no where, wheee!
Im totally ok with it and look forward to the opportunity to wear some really tight lycra.
It turns me on both in and out of the closet.
    You doing Pmbar this year?
    Hope to see you there

Edit: Can I be in your Pit Crew?
LTH: I incurred a head injury I could not recall, and woke up with the ability to read Icelandic fluently.
