The official 'I saw course marking tape in the woods' thread

    Hey Everybody!
On behalf of all the race promoters out there I'd like to start a thread about course marking tape.
Please, if you see any single piece of tape that got missed after any event, take it down. Knot and all.
If you feel that's not your job, please, do us a favor and post here telling us where it is. That we can send someone out immediately to get it.
    Thanks in advance,
    Eric

    Eh, it happens...

There is so much tape in the woods these days mountain bike races aren't going to make much of a difference....

I used to get worked up about it, now I just accept it (and remove it)...

I now worry more about the bad form of mountain bikers who leave the trail anytime an obstacle appears. Too bad we can't have single track here.

What if we see a corpse left over from a Pisgah Productions race? Should we report it or just leave it there like they do on Mt Everest?

Just pour a beer over the fallen soldier and keep riding.

    Make some thing better happen.
He/she who works the trails does so in their own image.

    Speed just slows me down...

The problem is I don't always know what is and what isn't supposed to be there.
Just stick it in granny and start grinding.

No, no trouble. Just a PSA.
I had someone say 'Hey, I saw a piece of your tape on Black.' I asked if they picked it up, they said 'uuuuuh, no.... should I have?'
So, you know, if you see race tape after an event, please take it down (or let the race promoter know where it is)...
