    New from fayetteville

For a few months now I have been wanting to get back into biking. When I was younger I road bikes all the time for the reasons of we didnt have cars we were young. The bikes I used to ride were bmx but suddenly I feel like getting into mountain biking. I am pretty young only 18 and wanted to know if its worth it. I live in hope mills which is practically fayetteville. Is it worth it for me to buy a mountain bike/bike rack for my car and get into biking a bit or will the drive just be too far. Another ractor is none of my friends would really get into the sport with me and I do not want to be stuck alone with a mountain bike. There is no way I am going biking alone on trails it just doesn't seem safe. What would your opinions be? Think I could meet people and bike around where I live maybe once a month or so depending on when I work, or should I just wait until I get older and move somewhere where my career would take me and hope there are trails there?

Thanks for your feed back if I am posting in wrong section please let me know.

It's always going to be worth it. I'm sure somebody from your area will post up places to ride...Smith Lake for one. Just a little farther west of you is San Lee Park, Governor's Creek, Harris Lake...check out the links in my signature and join us on any of the rides when you get your bike.

Would this be a good deal for a starter bike? http://fayetteville.craigslist.org/bik/2037959863.html
