    MTB Vacation plus some

My family, who all live in Michigan and Virginia want me to fly East to meet them for a vacation; I live in Idaho. Their idea is to get a place by the beach in Maryland and hang out but I would like to find some place that will allow me to get in some good mtb rides, yet give them some fun stuff to do while I am off riding. We all enjoy fishing, especially fly fishing and my nieces love to swim and do some hiking but they do not do much more then that.
I have done enough trips to Maryland and Michigan in the past, so I will pass, but I have always liked my visits to North Carolina. Any pointers to areas with good/great riding (it will be rigid single speeding), maybe cabin or condo rentals?

I know this is really vague, but I have got to try.

    Thanks,

    Mike K.

I am guessing you mean Cedar Rock & Big Rock.
I wish people would stop calling them Slick Rock.

Slick Rock Falls is a little 1 mile hike only out and back in Pisgah.

People have always referred to those areas as slick rock. People used to call it the "slick rock of the east". It's used as an adjective.

I know but but I could still wish people would stop calling it that and actually call them by their actual name.

Simma dahn na there Sally. Did you get a little sand in vag while you were here? I wasn't being an ass but I can be if you want to keep being a little b!tch about it.

And FYI, the rock isn't really slick, you get great traction on it.

    Pretty bike, love Huskys.

I edited my post, not gonna start a pissing match with you. But how about you think of others before you type. This is a public forum and most visitors come here for information and want straight answers, not juvenile antics. Your consideration would be appreciated by all I'm sure.

You should love it otherwise you wasted your money on it.

I didn't bring juvenile antics to this post. I made a simple statement. I didn't call the guy names or say anything bad about him. He started the bull shyt and maybe continuing it isn't the most mature thing to do but I could care less. Of course that being the case neither was your posted response to me so I guess we are all 3 big children.

Great that you edited your post, but your words don't bother me, they will remain quoted for posterity.

    Wonderful first post.

I am guessing it the return of Motobutane, aka Sasquatch, aka Sassy, aka all the other Bigfoot user names, aka Randy S

    Either way

Depending upon how much "other" stuff your group wants to do, you may also want to look at Asheville. Close to trails and lots to do.
