    Icycle 2012 - Jan 28 2012 11:00AM

Eight entries so far? Pathetic. My money is where my mouth is, and it's in a bad place.

Are you waiting for a weather report?

I assure you, there will be weather of some sort. Guaranteed.

I promise to not dominate everything.

I've not registered yet, but I've got a cabin.

You are not welcome in it.

I'll be there if I have to snowshoe. Class of 2010 represent!
Yeah, it's strange. But oh well.

I'm in too, just can't register until next paycheck due to PMBAR sellout fears, and Breck budgeting. But I know I have at least another in the car with me.

    So 2 more.

Eh, hut hut! I'll be lame and just get drunk at home instead!

Um, what I mean is I'm going to be a super duper extra responsible mountain biker and attend woodman's seminar instead!

No, wait, that isn't right either...

What I really mean is I am scared of you, and Broussard.

I'm aware of some mixed racer/non-racer groups that have procured rooms or cabins. Unsure why they haven't preregistered. Surprise factor?

Besides the fact TD originated this "thread" and has not legally registered (he might be with the band), what's really sad? I was the first to throw out money on the WWW, the oldest aged entry (to date) and have square tapered bottom bracket.

Done. 2 icy beers of your choice. Do I get a T-shirt? Bumper sticker? Anything for last place except suppressed dignity? Kick in the balls?

Here's the real slackers: Fontana Village! Made the mistake of buzzing by there yesterday and there was a miserable amount of debris all over the course. They've been cutting lots of trees down in the area and looks like most of them fell on the trails. In case they don't clean it up bring spare dropouts for the race!

Whats the XC trail like? I am a wuss. And I am fat. For now. This is my New Years Resolution commitment to riding more in 2012, since its the end of the world and all according to the Mayans.

Since none of these slackers will show you any love I will.

The course is very much All Mountain. It goes up a small hill in a field, up a really steep hill, then goes up more gradually with a few switch backs thrown in for good measure. Eventually it tops out and you go down for a bit before going up, down, up, down. Back out into a field for a last few kicks in the teeth before you circle around and do it all again****. I would not run a 2:1 gear ratio....

****The accuracy of this statement is questionable at best.
