I am going to be in the area next month and figured I'd do this xterra at hickory knob. Any tips on the trails around there? I'm a flat lander from indiana.
First you swim as fast as you can, then you bike as fast as you can, then run as fast as you can. When it is all done, if you were faster then everyone else, you will win.

Seriously you are pretty much back in flat land where the event is being held.

How technical is the course? For a flatlander, I'm actually better at hills than technical. I will be racing my new to me bike for the first time there, and I haven't been able to get it out on the trails as of yet.
No real climbing. There are a few rock sections that interesting. Very rideable but can catch you off guard the first time. Very few place to pass. I find if a fun ride and scenic as it goes along the shores of Lake Thurman.
