Help - lost front wheel at Dairy Ridge

I pulled my dumba$$ move of the year last night. Was riding at Dairy Ridge (Spartanburg) and drove off and left my front wheel in the parking lot. I didn't realize it until I moved my car this morning and noticed that it wasn't in the back. Went back out to Croft, but the wheel was gone and the park rangers said no one had turned it in.

On the off chance that whoever picked up the wheel is both honest and an MTBR fan, please call me at 864-621-6146. The wheel is a 29er wheel with a DT Swiss hub and Stans rim. Standard 9 mm QR.

    Thanks.

Hey Mike, I don't know about yer wheel but I got a Dairy Ridge question. I come down to ride Southside about once a month and have heard about Dairy Ridge next to it and being twice the fun. Any chance you'd be willing to show me around?

Sorry about the wheel, hope you find it.

Dairy Ridge is different from South Side, not necessarily better or worse. SS is much rootier and beats you up a lot more than DR does. DR has some really steep hills. 2 hours out there is about as hard as 2 hours in Pisgah. I would be glad to show you around. Just shoot me a pm.

Well, my front wheel seems to have disappeared into the ether. Before I drop the cash for a new one, is there anybody out there in the Upstate SC/Western NC region that has a 29er front wheel they are looking to sell? Mabye you bought some fancy I-9s and have your old wheel hanging in the garage gathering dust. Let me know.

More drama in the saga of Mikey's lost wheel. So last week, 3 weeks after losing the wheel, I broke down and ordered a new set of wheels. Then this morning I get a call from the ranger at Croft telling me somebody came by an turned it in. So maybe somebody just needed to borrow a 29er wheel for a few weeks.
