How is it? There's not any work going on right now is there?

No work that I am aware of is going on in Bent Creek at all.
I think Trace Ridge is the only part in Pisgah being worked on.

I was up there yesterday, besides the bear that was running down the trail in front of me all was in good shape. I hate scaring bears as they are trying to slow down for the winter

You didn't bother him any. Plenty food this year. there is still a while before they will go down for good, if they do at all.

PAS does regular trail maintenance throughout BC., but not anything that would impede your route.

PAS is constantly doing work in PNF, Dupont and Bent Creek, but nothing that would prohibit riding, if PAS happened to be out in Bent Creek, trails would not be closed, but you might want to slow down, dismount, and walk through the work area.

I need to figure out how to wear a bear bell when running. I've been seeing bears more often than not on my Saturday trail runs up to Five Points.
