    FATS after Xmas?

I have time without family or work the week after xmas. I was wondering if camping overnight one or two nights is a good idea. What would you expect conditions to be? I'm a fattish dad with not much fitness, but don't think I want to miss some me time to ride. I live in Charlotte, so it is not too bad of a drive.

Gravity, not just a good idea, it's a law.
The only one consistently and constantly applied, no exceptions.

Just keep an eye on sorbacsra.com for trail conditions. They usually have constant trail conditions posted. After Christmas is to hard to call this far out. The problem is its gets rode so much that this time of year the base is pure dirt. So even one day of rain can really turn the trail soft and muddy. LCHT are local to me (hour closer than Fats for you) and have a leaf/straw base due to the low traffic so that's an option if fats is closed. LCHT is every it as fun also.

If you are camping go to Petersburg Campground (COE) on the shores of Lake Thurman. It is open year round, hot showers and is about a 10 minute drive to FATS. Also there is Bartram Trail to ride if you want. As for the trail conditions, just keep an eye out.
