    DuPont on MLK day?

Some friends and I would like to head over and ride at DuPont on Monday (MLK day). Would like some info on trail conditions, please. (Have searched with no luck) Thanks!

Rode there yesterday, all was frozen ...today and tomorrow expect splooge. Best area will be the western portion, parking at Corn Mill Shoals PL and riding Pine Tree, Cascade, Longside, Micajah, Big Rock, etc. due to sandy-er soil.

Not at DuPont, but I rode in the early am at Bent Creek and Richmond Hill for the past 3 days and trail conditions were awesome. Both of these trail systems are mostly more vulnerable to freeze-thaw than DuPont, but were still perfect in the freeze part of the cycle. Just get started early and end within 1/2 hour or so of when temps climb above freezing.
After 1 hour of above freezing air temps, some sections of most trails will be nasty.

Thanks for the replies! I did read that report/thread Woodman, and saw that folks were riding from cornmeal shoals. I don't know the area well, but a friend does and has since told me that cornmeal shoals is where he always rides from. I'm certain that my friend knows all of the trails that FatTireGoos mentioned.

Probably will see a lot of slop there today. The lower half of Ridgeline and Hilltop were getting pretty greasy yesterday afternoon.
