    Dupont fun 08/05/06

I am trying to organize a group ride for this coming Saturday. Leaving from Reasonover around 9:30. Some of us are going to try and swim and picnic at Lake Imaging afterwards.

    Peace

I would really like to make it but have to get my new bike built first. Are out of shape newbies allowed?

Lake Julia is a no swimming lake. Lake Imaging is fine to swim in. We wave at the rangers while chilling with our floaties on.

I am a moron late edit:

Fawn Lake is what I was thinking of.

What route are you riding? How are getting over to lake Imaging from the Fawn Lake parking lot.

Since all my parts are not in yet to build the new road bike and my ankle seems to be healed, I may be in for this. Fawn Lake , right by Reasonover provides good swimming after a good ride as well. I'll be in a green Mazda pickup with a grey Cove hardtail.

Yea, it was making me cry everytime someone picked on me about it. Thanks you bully.
The Handjob stickers were so torn up from the lack of clearcoat I had to remove them and replace with some Kenda Stickers. When I get the frame repainted and clearcoated I'm ordering some more handjob stickers to go back on the bike .
Flock work and get to Dupont and ride with us. Its been a while since we rode together.

    Too Many Lakes

I forgot that it is Fawn Lake. I am soooo bad with names

So here is the info as it stands so far:

Meet at the Reasonover parking lot and be ready to ride around 9:30. I am planning on this being a nice training ride for the SM100 so we can ride everything and anyone who poops out can take it back to Fawn lake to swim. My g/f will be hiking so don't kill her and if anyone has a non-biking friend that would like to hike she would gladly enjoy the company.

We can start off with the best loop in Dupont and go from there:

    Mine mtn
    Laurel ridge
    shoals
    cross river
    burnt mtn
    cedar rock
    pine trail
    rock quarry
    down corn mill shoals
    cross river
    laurel ridge to airstrip
    reasover

That is just a suggestion to start. Look for me in a Ford Escape riding a SS Karate Monkey.

    Peace,
    Jonathon

    A slight alteration

My buddy from Columbia is coming up and won't be there until 10:30. So I will have to come back to the lot and pick him up. So I figure we could do Reasonover first the fun way to airstrip or mine mountain and then go back to the parking lot to re-group and head back out on the originaly planned loop.

    Rock on.

Another late edit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My buddy is camping at Ultimate ride campgound . . . Ok just kidding I led him and the family to Black Forest and now he won't have a problem because they are staying Friday night.

    See you all out there.

I was thinking about making it but my kid says shred the gnar in Pisgah. Fawn lake clears a lot of things up,you had me really confused.

Although I'd rather ride the mountain bike I'm gonna have to bail to ride the new road bike. Just got in the last shipment of parts today and put it together tonight. I need to test it out and see if I have it set up properly and I need to spin the ankle and see how its feeling. Post your next ride and I'll try to jion you then.
