Dupont in Dec? Will the trails be too wet?

Barring recent rains. Do the trails dry-out enough to ride in Dec?

Barring a few days here and there, all trails are rideable year round in this area.

DuPont has to be planned carefully, however, as there are numerous large river crossings that can get damn cold in Dec. Routes can be done without crossing the river- just use hte map carefully.
Furthermore, DO NOT , NO MATTER WHAT, ATTEMPT TO CROSS UNDER BRIDAL VEIL FALLS IF THERE IS ICE ON THE ROCKS. It is slicker than you can imagine and if you fall, you're toast. Seriously- huge penalties. Don't even think about it, unless brain injury and/or death is a choice you're looking for.

    epicmtbruce speaks very very true.

If it is close to freezing temps, be very careful. The ground seepage turns directly into black ice and it is a booby trap that could smite 007.

However even if it is frozen. You can still ride the dirt. Just be very weary of any rock.
    BS'ing less, riding more.
