    Dupont Conditions

What are the conditions at Dupont? Thinking about coming this weekend since we are under water in the Lowcountry.

Dupont is hanging tough and draining well. If it rains try to stay off the south side. Tread lightly and have a blast.

Three lakes is closed due to excessive water on the trail.
Other than that all trails are open and in decent shape.
It appears there will be very little rain from now through the weekend too.

Be aware though that Saturday is the Save The Trails Challenge so the park will be busy.
However there are still openings if you want to join.

How could it be closed? They revamped it, what, two years ago? Weren't all of the surface roots they left in place supposed to suck up all the water? And, didn't they build it with a leaf blower? I kid, I kid.

Three lakes isnt sandy soil like most of dupont and I think the trees have had their fill. Somewhat flat and many places for water to stand. With all the roots the water gets trapped.

Rode DSF today. All good except for a bunch of mud on Briary Creek.
