Doe Mountain (Mtn. City, TN)
I know I'm on the NC/SC page, but being so close to the border, I thought I'd post here too...
Today is the last day to fill out this short survey for Doe Mountain:
Doe Mountain is 8600 acres of rolling mountain terrain in TN and is currently in the planning process. This survey goes straight to the company doing the management plan and our input will greatly impact the mountain biking experience we can create for this beautiful piece of land. Thanks in advance for filling this out.
Done. It Asked me what kind of riding besides Downhill I do? Just a glitch I assume. I am not a gravity type at all.
UGG boots will germinate Paris Hilton like intellect in your soles!
Great! Not sure what was meant by that survey question. I'm not the designer of this instrument, but do hope to spread the word about the place.
I have attended some meetings though, and seen the property up close myself. There is so MUCH variety in the terrain, so plenty will be out there for riders of all levels. Gravity ops do exist though and has been discussed (there is a shuttle-able road that goes to nearly 4000 ft. TH is at 2700).
Doe Mountain Bell Built Grant - Please Vote!!
Greetings, a lot has happened since the last posts about Doe Mtn, including the project becoming a national finalist for a Bell Built grant. Public voting is underway NOW at http://www.bellhelmets.com/bellbuilt.
The NWNC and Tri-Cities (TN) SORBA Chapters are collaborating on this project and the more votes and visibility we get from this exposure will go a long way (even if we don't win the grant).
Spread the word, and GO VOTE, please, it only takes a few minutes.
FYI, here are some rounded-off google drive-times to Mountain City:
Asheville - 90 min
Boone - 30 min
Wilkesboro - 1 hr
Winston-Salem - 2 hrs
Morganton - 1 hr 30 min
