    Camping in Pisgah / Brevard

Hey, so my GF and I decided we wanna do a spontaneous 7-8 day trip to Pisgah/Brevard. Part of it wasn't so spontaneous as her brother and his wife are flying out for some fly fishing and MTB and we were meeting them, but they're only here for two days...

    Not enough time for us...

We've decided we wanna stay longer, but can't afford to extend the hotel, so we are looking for camp sites now. Does anyone know of any near the trails that don't require a reservation?

Thanks for any help! I'm excited to ride the crazy stuff I hear about from Pisgah/Brevard!

You can camp anywhere in Pisgah unless its signed otherwise.

There are sites off of most of the gravel roads and there are also campgrounds that wont be as expensive as hotels.

Basically just drive until you find a spot that looks nice and set up. The only exception to this is anyplace that is signed saying no camping.

Perfect, that makes it easy, then! Is that free then or do they look for those little passes that some parks make you put on your tents and backpacks?

It's free, but not necessarily easy. They fill up quick.

We decided to get a car camping site at Bike Farm. Looks close to trails and we were able to get all our days reserved.
