Bicycle Post Toys for Tots Mountain Bike Race - Dec 3rd, Greenville, NC

We (finally) have the trails and the organization back in place to begin holding races at the Bike Post Trails outside of Greenville again! We will be holding a charity race to support the Toy for Tots campaign (free race entry with toy valued at $15 or more). The race will be held on Sunday, December 3rd with registration starting at 12:00 Noon and the race starting at 1:30PM. With any luck we will make this an annual charity event. Hopefully it will serve as a good winter "tune-up" for racers and will bring in lots of toys for kids during the holidays.

You can read more at the link below for specifics on the event:

We are starting off pretty low key, but will hopefully hold several races next year, including the resurrection of the Monkey Chucker 24 Hour race! Stay tuned...

I had a slight error in the directions to the race from Raleigh. The website and flyer on-line have been updated, below are the correct directions:

From Raleigh/points west Take US-264 E towards Greenville, exit at NC-111/NC-222 (#53) to Saratoga/Fountain, turn left end of ramp - go 15.6 mi, in Falkland turn right at Crisp St which turns into Kings Crossroads Rd - go 0.8 mi, turn left at Short Bridge Rd (dirt), start is 0.5 mi on the right.

    Sorry for the confusion.

Reminder and UPDATE - Race this coming Sunday, Dec 3rd

This is a reminder that the Bike Post Toys for Tots MTB Race is this coming Sunday, Dec 3rd. The trail is in very good shape and it looks like we will have a very nice day for racing.

As an UPDATE, Eric Pierce has arranged to have pork bar-b-que available at the end of the race for all participants and spectators. Supporting a good cause and free food, what more could you ask for? Please come and enjoy the racing AND some good food!!
