153 miles of Pisgah in 22 hours.

That's what it took to win the 2010 Double Dare.

    1st Wes *****on / Geoff Bergmark ~ 20.5CP
    2nd Clay Faine / Zach Broussard ~ 19CP
    3rd Adam Penny / Mark Sackett ~ 19CP

Plus Maida won the I9 wheelset from the Humane Society raffle.

Thanks Everyone for coming out and playing the game!

Thanks for a couple fun days in the woods, Eric and Erinna! Great trails, great weather, great people. We had a blast.

One question about the whiteboard results: why did 4 teams get "+ 1 hr" behind the checkpoint scores on day two? Was that because we were slackers on the pre-dawn time trial?

Thanks Emily! The +1hr was for riding both days in costume.

hmmm, then I think those points belong to the team listed above us, Cissy and David. Who rode both days in spectacular costumes.

Thanks for a great time this weekend! Congrats to all the teams that headed out.

Good times and good rides, just too bad we were out before we started. Next time I will make sure there in an extra wheel in the car.

Yeah, we were slackers in both the time trial department and in the costume-wearing department. But we dominated in the fun-having department and the view-admiring department

Brad broke his derailleur early Saturday on Turkey Pen Gap. They went on to get 9cps but did not make the 12am cutoff. An impressive effort.

    No clue about the Koerbers.

As a more average participant, I'd like to give props to the wonderful sponsor support of this small, unique grassroots event.
There was more quality gear for prizes than you see at some much larger races. Every racer had the opportunity to claim some kind of schwag, with pretty cool choices for the top finishers.

Special praise to the local businesses who stepped up (as they seemingly always do for every thing around here). Thanks Suspension Experts, I-9, Cane Creek, and Endless!!

+1 on that Mike. Really fortunate to have the support from those rocking companies for our local races. Thanks a bunch!

Just wanted to say I had a great time and I am really bummed about trashing my wheel the day before...next time I will take the room in the car for sure just in case.

Congrats to all that finished, wish I could have been out there with you.
