I believe most of Norcos frames are made by Giant in their frame factory in Taiwan. I've also heard that Giant makes almost half of all the worlds bikes in this factory, including their own.

Man, what I'd have given for a bike like that, at that age!!

P.S. They didn't even have Bigwheels when I was that age.

Go's up real nice. It's not the lightest bike but honestly I don't notice it on the trails. Most of the riding I do requires some uphill and that's why I got it. I do put it on a chairlift but only like once every two weeks or so. Rear travel is adjustable also which makes trail riding a little easier and downhilling a little more plush. Great bike for under 2G's (Can)taxes in!

I could be classed as a Norco rider.

What I have is a 2005 125 frame built onto my old Gt parts, so yeah I am a Norco rider.

I rode a Norco Rampage full rigid for years, In 06 I bought a Norco Fluid 2. Love it! Tried a few other bikes before I bought it and am happy with my Fluid.

I attached a photo of my new XC race bike, a Norco Faze 2. I was between this and a much more expensive Yeti ASR-SLC, but the local shop gave me a killer deal and let me test ride it for a weekend. I switched out a SRAM 990 11-32 cassette and I have some SRAM x.0 twist shifters coming along with a x.9 derailuer from my other bike. The WTB Shadow saddle is a bit too roadie like so I will probably swap it out for a Rocket. I'm also planning on doing a conversion from the QR skewers to 9/10mm thru axles for some extra rigidity.
The bike's handling is incredible compared to my twitchy Raleigh hardtail. The downhill/freeride influence from the company really shows. I've left the bike in the 4.5" travel setting and have seen no reason to drop down to the 3.8" setting. The Fox RP23 pairs really well with this suspension. With propedal set to 2 it climbs really well and still absorbs the hard hits. With propedal on 3 it climbs like a hardtail.
Right now it's around 28 pounds. I imagine I'll eventually get it down to 25 and call it good.
