if you haven't read the 650b All Mountain Bike Shootout thread, francois really likes the bike and gives mini reviews throughout the thread...

I would like to own one of these. Looking forward to some more reviews when people actually start getting them and spend some time on them.

Got my eye on the sightB too. Never owned a norco, anybody know if you can buy just a frame or do you have to buy a kit?

I too am keen to hear some ride reports.

I test rode a large around the car park today. Felt sweet, but I'm gonna need the XL. Not sure if it'll be big enough

Anyone riding an XL yet? How tall are you, how's the fit?

i couldn't say if the xl is going to be big enough for you, and i'm certainly very keen to get on one myself. i do know that it has a TTT of 647mm which is excellent and quite large. amongst the longest out there. can't wait to demo both killer b bikes.

It sounds like there are some out there, but is there an official release date? I'm looking at them too, but no Norco dealer near me.

    Sight Killer B anyone?

Just tried to order one in the US and they are sold out until May according to the Norco dealer. The only ones that will be available in May are the 3's. If you're on the fence you better put your orders in now.

Damn, that is one sexy looking head tube. How did you go about getting this frame kit? I was under the impression that the frame kit was only available in Canada based what I saw on the Norco website.

Myself and my JrX racer that I help support are lucky to be riding for them in 2013.

As for Frame Sets in the US. I would just ask your dealers to call and ask if they can get one. I know most of all the Sight Killer Bs are sold out.

Thanks Cecil. Norco will be at the Southeast Bike Expo this weekend in Conyers GA, so I'll be able to get the info straight from them.

Anyone riding a B3? Thoughts on the fork? I originally wanted a B2 but I was told the chance of one coming into my dealer was pretty slim. The B3 I ordered won't be here till May, so I am gathering parts to upgrade the B3. What other parts would you upgrade? Right now I have a Fox CTD rear shock, slx brakes, and going to upgrade the drive train to XT/SLX. Any feedback will be much appreciated.

The Sektor that the 3 comes with is not a bad feeling fork at all - the chassis is essentially a revelation, just slightly different internals. I would probably drop in a revelation or blackbox compression cartride and it would be super sweet:

    Sektor after a Fox 36?

I was lucky enough to take home a B-3 a few weeks ago and the dealer told me it would be the last one for a while because they were back ordered. Unfortunately I have only been riding twice since I've had it and I'm still dialing everything in. I'll post more about it when I have a few more rides on it.

Got my B2 on Sunday and due to work and weather haven't had much time to ride so can't give much beyond first impressions which are that it is nimble and beautifully engineered. I'm heading to Moab for a week in late March so will have much better feeedback on it then.

It's amazing how popular these bikes are but there's little info from actual riders. Maybe they are too busy riding? Bad weather?

Is that brushed aluminum and lime green? Are you in the States? Norco's website shows brushed aluminum and orange.

    Edit:
My bad. I need to learn to read before I open my mouth. You have a Range B3

    grey or a light pewter

The website had me thinking it was a light olive green ... until I picked the bike up. An unexpected change, but I like it.

I am in the states. The color is silver/grey/pewter and it is finished. Maybe a light polish, but not super shiny.

    Sight Killer B anyone?-new-b2.jpg

As you can see the weather is not that great for riding. Had it out for a few hours today and am very impressed. No noticeable pedal bob in "trail" mode on the rear shock and the shadow plus makes the bike almost totally silent. Can't wait for better weather.

I hope to have mine built by next weekend. Have a Fox Float 27.5, DHX Air, Race Face Sixc Cranks and Bars, Race Face Stem, and MRP G3 Mini Guide that should show up next week. Got my Loaded USA 650B wheels (1741 Grams) the other day and have setup the Continental X-Kings tubeless on them.

More pics to come as the build gets finished.

My buddy just got his Sight Killer B2 today. Liking the Black and Red look. He hopes to ride it tomorrow if the rain stops.

Right on. Shops around me (very few) are saying Large is looking like all sold out for this year. I jumped on a med. and it felt good but at 6' I really would like to demo the large also.

Thanks Cecil. Beautiful build. 7.4lbs that's on the heavy side isnt it? you managed a good total weight though at 28lbs. Do you have a ride review anywhere? I am looking for a bike that will be the only bike in the stable. A mate has a Liteville 301 and has set it up super light so he can ride the epics too. He is not convinced that it will replace the 29er yet but definitely will not need a 26er. What are doing with yours? Is it the only bike you own or do you have other bikes for different types of rides?
