    would a normal lefty fit a 2013 jet 9 rdo ?!

or should it be a XL clamp lefty since the normal is 138mm ?!

Frame size is really important. I think MD is the biggest that can still use the regular clamp spacing.

Yes, it depends on headtube length.

I have a medium RDO with an XL Lefty, but I only have the XL as I couldn't find a regular clamp lefty in time for my build. More importantly I recommend the longer "max" lefty's with the higher axle to crown. Also will better balance with the rear travel.

    I used a Lefty Max Carbon PBR 140 (converted to 29'er 110).
Make sure the headtube and stack height of the frame size you want isn't over 136mm regular lefty spacing.

    Good point on the headtube. XS-100, S-110, M-120, L-130, XL 145.

Seems like Large and XL might mandate the XL clamp. Even the zero stack headsets the RDO uses are around 14mm of stack with the top and bottom cups. I'd trade my XL clamp Lefty for the regular clamp equivalent for a cleaner look if I could.

Don't know if you found the answer to your question already or not, I'd shoot Jake at project321.com a call or email and ask him. He is the Lefty Man over there, knows his stuff and they are one of the companies that make the adapters. I've dealt with him for both my Air 9 and my Air 9 RDO and awesome service and hell, surprisingly (unless he was blowing smoke up my ass) he remembered me from a year previous.

We have been using the standard crowns on Large Jet9 rdo frames by using a "slam that stem" headset top cap. The xl frames most definately need an xl crown. This is particularly handy now that in 2013 the 29er lefty is not available with xl crowns.
Turning a lefty max into a 29er is doable but you will loose the automatic bearing reset function.

    You the man Jake.
I couldn't find such a headset when I was originally shopping in anticipation of my RDO arrival and my wife's EMD (medium and small respectively) but it wasnt a concern. Both fit perfectly regular lefty clamps.

I was going to buy a 2013 Lefty but instead I've listed my 2010 Lefty Max Carbon XL clamp on that auction site and picked up a 2012 regular clamp xlr. As that's all the clamp spacing I'll likely ever need unless I succeed in a mid thirties growth spurt.
