Caution; Merge; Workers Ahead! Welding Specialized Sram derailleur to the WFO9 frame to have triple chainrings

Sounds more than crazy, yet Enduro 29 has 430mm CS with front derailleur on special jib. Would it be possible to weld this stuff onto wfo9 frame?

My acquiantance is peeved overly when he read that no front derailleur is possible. He is adamant on custom front 20 and rear 38T.

    1) Its aluminum, so if you weld you have to re-heat treat the frame.
    2) If Niner could have figured out how to put one on they would have (i.e. I don't think its possible to fit one in there).
    3) Why doesn't he just buy a Enduro29?

I read somewhere that the CVA suspension "takes up a lot of room" and this is why they couldn't fit one in with the chainstays as short as they are. The Enduro uses a four bar suspension (I assume, haven't looked).

Adjsuting Specialized derailleur might work, but we need a special kit for this purpose, not everyone wants to go Down The Slope 9 (D.T.S 9).
26ers and 27.5ers do have place for front derailleurs, why 29ers have to be worse?
If one wants to climb steep inclines, then what? Switch to shorter travel bike? My buddy loves his previous wfo9 version and wants to keep the derailleur or he is peurchasing Cube or Specialized. There are lost sales here for Niner.
I would like to see a detailed comment on this matter from Chris and perchaps "retired" Steve.
