Typo or Truth about new 780mm RDO Carbon Bar ?

So, I'm looking at the latest emailed newsletter... talking about all of the new releases/goodies...

One of the things that I've been waiting for from Niner is a truly wide carbon bar. Prayers answered!

BUT!!! Is it true??? In the newsletter - the advertised price of this new 780mm - RDO Bar is $99??? That would be a price reduction of 50% of the currently available 710mm RDO Bar ($199)!

Maybe we can get some definitive numbers here ???

I E-mailed them yesterday regarding this, but they have yet to respond. I told them I would like to buy 2. One for each of my Niners! :-)

It's a typo, according to comment at Niner Facebook page.
    The price should be $199.

Why go so short? Why not go for the GOLD with the Syncros 1000mm?

Me? Anything beyond 680mm is a no-go for me, comfort wise and scraping along trees on XC race courses. Maybe if I lived where there were not many trees....and lots of desert....

Has anyone ridden a 780mm bar? I have a 780mm CB Cobalt 11 on my 29'er hard tail SS. I haven't ridden it yet as the trails aren't open. I imagined I'd cut it closer to 710mm because it is seemingly HUGE (My wingspan is about 5' 11").

Depending on how that goes I'll replace the narrow (635mm) Monkey Lite SL I currently have on my JetRDO.

Once I figured out the width I need I would have jumped on the $99 RDO "deal" like the preverbal overweight child and the smartie. I'll watch this space for actual promotional deals from Carla.

    Cheers
