Spesh SJ to Niner A9 RDO

Just wanted to quickly introduce myself to this particular subset of the MTBR forum. I've been riding a Spesh Stumpjumper for a couple of years and have been actively looking to pick up an S-Works or RDO frame.

Two nights ago I stumbled upon a great deal on ebay for an RDO frame in my size so I bit the bullet and won the auction. I should have the frame before the end of the week and have let my LBS know about the frame swap.

Can't wait to join the Niner contingent! I've always been a big fan of their components as I already have the RDO seatpost, bars, and stem.

It's a medium frame, licorice color, paired with XX1, Avid Elixir CR's, and Sun Ringle Black Flag Pro wheels. The SJ carbon frame set up weighed a little less than 21.5 lbs so I'm pretty sure that I'll be under 21 lbs with the RDO frame.

No one replied, but I won the auction for the frame and made the swap during the weekend. There's definitely truth to the "climbs like a goat" simile. Also handles a bit better than the SJ Carbon Comp. I'll post some pics tonight.

Nice! I was on the fence between the new SJ and the RDO and ended up with the RDO. I've been super happy, it's a rocket!!

I was a little undecided about the mostly black motif on the bike, but I'm quickly warming up to it.

I love the white trim that you've got going there with the wheels, saddle, and grips!

For those wondering, as it sits, it weighs 21.25 lbs.

The bars were not to high, the seat post was too short, and the camera angle was low. It's all better now.
