    Show your SIR 9's!

And I have to share this picture from yesterday. THIS is why I took off work yesterday!

My 6 year old on his first day without training wheels! And I was riding my SIR9 SS so it counts in the thread.

I'm having issues with brake line placement. Where are the lines meant to be placed when using...

    Right Hand = front brake
    Left Hand = rear brake.

The frame is designed for the opposite. Also, my SLX rear brake line wants to run outside the frame. See pic.

    Suggestions?

Just picked up last week. Have three rides on it and so far I like it. Very nice ride compared to a scandium one9 I rode last year (only one ride though). Not sure if niner was wanting me to toughen up or not but they shipped a 19t cog instead of the 20. It's working so far but wow, what a crank on the hills! Would like to throw the brakes over a hill and go with some hopes' but that'll be a while.

thanks Tim and Pro Mountain Outfitters!

Thanks. Currently the trails I'm riding are flat, frozen, hardpacked sandy singletrack. If I plan to ride someplace with more climbing and technical, use my geared 29 with front suspension. Been running this tire combo for a few years now, this being the 2nd rigid SS I've owned. Thought about trying something different, but figured stick to what I'm used to. The Ardent 2.4 up front running 18-20psi and the carbon fork make the ride real comfortable.

First mtb and I think I did it right. For what I want to do with it, this fits the bill perfectly. All it took was one test ride...

Nice looking bike! How do you like it? I've been riding a SiR9 since 2009 in all kinds of set ups, SS, 3x9 and with a Rohloff IGH. Currently it's set up as a SS and its my favorite of the three. Anyway, enjoy your new bike!
    Happy trails!

Well its only day 1 so I'd be the stereotypical internet expert if I gushed about it just yet. But.... I took it out for a spin with my wife and her brand new bike this afternoon (short ride) then rode it to Bev Mo for beer. Nothing but smiles and giggles, totally in love. Upgraded to the RS SID fork for no other reason than my own vanity; I wanted a better fork without any experience to base that on and I didn't like the look of the white one it came with. I think black would've looked just as good, if not better. Whatever. I can't complain one stinkin' bit with the deal and service I got on this. Can't wait to throw my fly rod into a pack and head miles into the back country...
