    Sell 2010 to buy 2012 RIP

    Thinking about selling my 2010 frame to get a 2012 anyone else do it?

    No, But I was going to.

    I sold my 09 Rip9, Tang & was going to get a new Red 1 & then the Jet9 RDO came along & I got 1 of them

    I'm planning to buy a 2012 rip9 (still need to demo a medium before pulling the trigger) why would you want to change from 2010 to 2012? For color? I thought the frame hasn't changed since 2009.

    Colour ( will help with photo's in years to come )

    Slacker head angle,

    Different rear shock.

    Right... Does anyone know it the 2012's come with the kashima coated Float RP23?

    i just got my licorice ano'd rip about two weeks ago, and it came with the non-kashima coated rp23. hope i didn't get jipped. the non coated one seems to be working just fine though. i love the way this bike handles the trails. amazing machine!

    You didn't get gipped. Unless I'm mistaken, the only Niner with a Kashima-coated RP23 is the Jet 9 RDO.

    Hi, I'm also considering trading my '10 to a '12 because I have a weird toe overlap issue.
    I'm 5'10 on a medium with flat pedals and every now and then if my foot slides just slightly forward on very technical sections my front wheel will catch my shoe. I've wondering if the slacker HA on the '12 will fix this or if I should be on a large. The cockpit stretch on the medium feel ok though.
    Has anybody experienced anything similar?
