RIP 9 (alloy) rear axle options

Quick question for everyone. I'm sure it's been discussed before, but I didn't see it. Is it possible to run a 135x12 thru-axle on the back of the allow RIP9 frame? I'm looking at picking up a frame, and would like to build the wheels up with some King hubs that I already have. I can get axle conversions to take it from a Q/A to T/A, but apparently only while maintaining the 135mm spread and not utilizing the 142mm drop outs that I see Niner advertise. Is it possible to get this to work? Thanks!

I purchased my RIP9 with the 142 x 12 maxle option and converted an old Chris King ISO rear hub with standard 9mm axle to a 142x12 through axle. I ordered the 142x12 axle and end caps directly from Chris King. It was an easy swap out and mated up perfectly with the frame. What type of King rear hub is it? I don't see why you can't convert it to the 142x12.

Thanks for the info. I guess I failed to see the 142x12 upgrade option when I looked on the site earlier. I also looked on Competitive Cyclist, and they were only selling the 135x12, so I thought that was all there was. Looks like I'm back on track with the original plan. Now all I have to do is convince myself that the RIP9 isn't too much frame for what I need.

    Thanks again!
