I installed both of mine dry. No creaks after a year.

Can you please let me know what you mean? I don't understand installing it dry versus grease on the contact points. Thanks

I pressed the non-moving surfaces (the cups) in to the carbon head tube and bottom bracket shell without grease. The PF BB was especially easy.

But I apply grease to all the sealed bearings so the contact point between the bearings and the cups is greased, as is the contact point between bearing and crank/steerer tube.

    Sorry for any confusion.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics but finally finished up with just about everything. Hands down the best bike I've ever ridden in the XC/trail category. I have a 28 tooth ring on it now for long climbs, but the 32T is a little more versatile for majority of our trails. Currently weighs 23 lb 10 oz with a few stronger components...plan on getting a lighter wheelset for racing.

Jet9 RDO Black Licorice - Large
    Rockshox SID RCT3 120mm
    American Classic All Mountain Wheelset
    Ikon 2.2 3C/exc/exo rear tire
Schwalbe Rocket Ron 2.25 Evo Snakeskin front tire
    XX1 BB30 Crankset (swap between 28t and 32t ring)
XTR rear der, chain, and shifter
    Sram XX 11-36 cassette
XT brakes with ice-tech rotors and pads
    MRP 1x Chainguide
    Ritchey WCS Trail Bars 740mm
    Ritchey Trail Stem 70mm
    Niner Carbon seatpost
    WTB Silverado saddle
Eggbeater 3 pedals w/ Ti spindles
    ESI Chunky Grips

2012 J9RDO v1.1 Large, Fox Float 120 CTD, Stans Arch EX wheelset, XO 24/38 crankset, XO FD and RD, XX 2x10 Gripshift, Sram PG1070 12-36 cassette, XT Brakes, Easton Haven Carbon Bar and 70mm Alu Stem, Thomson post, WTB Pure V SLT Saddle, front and rear Conti MK 2.2's tubeless, Raceface crank boots, XTR pedals, Cytoe guard, full rear housing and latest Niner shift kit.

25 lbs 11 ozs with pedals. Could lose a few grams trimming seatpost and steerer and using less tire sealant, all else stays for trail versatility.

Huge thanks to this board for helping score a no brainer frame closeout, detailed cable routing discussion, and setup tips. Shakedown launch will be 18 hrs of Fruita, hope my wrenching is good enough to avoid dental work.

    RDO pics!

24 pounds. I am surprised its that weight given I spared little expense:

Enve wheels, post, bar and stem
    XX1 Drive train
    XTR Trail brakes
    Float CTD 120 Fork
    XTR Pedals

When I make this set tubeless I guess I will crack the 24 pound barrier.

Now I need to heal to ride it.

Good looking bike. Mine came in at 23.46lbs(large frame). I assume your wheels are lighter but my fork and brakes are lighter.

    New Jet9RDO

Got my new Jet9RDO a few days ago. Love the XXI and grip shift.
Much improved over my Ibis SL. Need to cut the steerer tube and waiting
for new saddle otherwise it's at 22.5 lbs with pedals and stans.

    22.5 lbs!

22.5! Do my Arch EX's, RS Revelation 120 fork, and 2x10 gearing really add 4+ LBS?! All else looks the same. oh yeah, I forgot the boat anchor I carry so I can drop it when I realize how fast I'm going.

Mine has some pretty good gear on it & it's not down in the weights that some claim.

    Maybe I need new scales.

Next time I am at the shop I will weigh and take a photo. Don't have a scale myself. The build has formula R1's (all titanium hardware), Fox float, and everything else as you see plus it's a small size. My medium Ibis SL is at 23.4 lbs.

    RDO pics!-img_1030.jpg

I realize this breaks all kind of bike runway photos, but here it is anyway:

Jet 9 RDO Medium V 1.0 Back in Black
RS Revelation RCT3 reduced to 120MM
    Cane Creek 40
    Thomson 70MM
    Easton EA70 low Rise 685MM
    ESI Chunky Grips
    Thomson Elite Post
    Fizik Gobi
    Shimano XT 785 Brakes (160/160)
    Shimano 2x10 I-Spec shifters
    SRAM X9 BB30 39x26 crank (I'm old and need 22)
    SRAM Press Fit 30 BB
    Shimano XT E2 Front Der
    Shimano 780 XT Pedals
    Shimano XT 11x36 Cassette
    Shimano M786 Shadow+ Rear Der
Sun Ringle Black Flag Pro Wheels set up tubeless
    Schwalbe Nobby Nic 2.25

I routed the rear cable housing full length along the brake line and then under the bottom rocker and then into the chain stay. I also have a Cytoe bottom guard.

26.12lbs. First ride was finally today. Damn fast bike. Slow engine

Can I get a close up of the rear cable set up? If I can't get mine to stop rattling, I may go that route.
