Maybe i should remove the bottle top off the YAWYD and re weigh it.

My medium is right at 23lb [EDIT: it was at 22.9 as in my sig, but I switched to a wider bar, and need to update], I have one "heavy" component on the entire bike, where I could save ~90-100g. Loosing a chainring and a shifter would "possibly" get me to 22.5 lb's. Any JetRDO that is at 22.0lbs is incredible.

Ya, i know.. the boss lady beats me home every day after work. so it's tuff to sneak in new toys. Bday is coming up so maybe i can get a pass :)

Depending on the day i am between 6'2-6'3 so i may try out 70mm stem on my L RDO.

Been looking at droppers for a while, leaning towards the KS Lev or the Thomson.

Sell her on the added safety on down hills.

I use Reverbs, But have a look at the fox doss as well.

It has a double lever so you can drop a little when needed or a lot, Most of the time when I drop mine I only drop it 1 1/2 inches & the full amount now and again.

    great pics here! :)

I find it strange that almost nobody installs a remote for their rear shock on their Jet.
Do you guys change the lever manually every time or do you keep it on trail modus all the time?

Trail setting unless there's a stupid steep climb, or a long fast fire road.

I keep mine in trail mode most of the time. I never use the climb setting since I find the CVA suspension to do an adequate job on minimizing bob in the trail setting and I like a little squish for technical climbs. I will throw in over to descend mode if I know I'm going to bomb down a gnarly technical descent.

If you have a pre-2013 (Kermit) Jet 9 with the CTD shock, it is recommended to leave in the Trail mode although I prefer the Descent mode which really makes it eat up the small stuff and unless you are hitting some BIG drops it will handle the hard hits as well(if you get your sag set right) Even in that mode it still climbs great. For some of the LONGER climbs like out west you might want to use the climb mode. If you have an older Jet 9 with the RP23 shock I would never do anything with it other than leave it in the Open mode and forget the Pro-Pedal mode. Then you can fool around with the dampening to get it right for your trails. BTW, I sent mind to Push and they asked about my Trails, riding style, weight, and bike, etc. and when I told them it was going on a Jet 9 RDO they told me the Pro-Pedal setting was designed to almost do nothing because that bike is so efficient at climbing that the Pro-Pedal is not necessary. Hope this helps.

I have a V1.1 with the RP23. I leave mine with the ProPedal in position 1 all the time. It matches my Fox Float CTD fork in Trail mode nicely. I just ride and never touch the suspension when on the trail.

Also depends on where you live and what your climbs look like. Here in AZ suspension that works and actually helps you climb versus being locked out is a benefit.
