Bike Rumor had this to say about the new One 9 RDO, which piqued my interest, being an XX1 user:
EB13: All-New Niner WFO Enduro Monster ? Plus Carbon One9 RDO & More!It was designed to be a pure singlespeed race machine, but they figured out it would be killer as a 1◊11 geared bike, too. So, you can swap in their derailleur hanger dropout and CYA BB inserts that allow you to run any major BB standard by simply pressing it in. Frame weight is 1235g, a bit more than the Air9 RDO because they had to add alloy shells for the BB and threads for the Maxle.
So if you want to run 1x11, you add the derailleur hanger in back, but what exactly do you need to do to the bottom bracket to run a press fit or other compatible bracket? Do you remove something from the bottom bracket area the biocentric BB shell which allows you to do a press fit bracket like the Air 9 RDO? And would removing the biocentric BB alloy shell shed some weight? It still might be a bit more than the Air 9 RDO given the addition of the 142 axle in the rear.
