Yes, a degree or two of correctness would be great.

No one went to Eurobike on this forum, eh? You aren't the only one that wants slacker angles...

    carbon Fork

I got home from work today and read how you guys took off the weight limit. I called my not local bike shop and ordered one. Can you guys come out with some Niner sweatshirts(XXXL)? It gets cold in Michigan.

Well I guess none of the media has seen the "changes" column in the PDF we sent them all off with at Eurobike and Interbike.

    Here you go:

    @ Lars:

The RIP9 was also slackened from 71.5 degrees (with a 120mm FOX) to 70.5 degrees.

A 140mm will slacken the RIP9 further to around 69.5 degrees or so...

WFO9 slackened from 70 degrees to 69 degrees with 140mm fork.

WFO9 and RIP9 also will have an Internal tapered headset (inset).

WFO9 colors: Fridge Green as pictured above and Black Anodized.

RIP9 colors: Hot Tamale as pictured above, Black Anodized and RAW (with glow in the dark luminous clear coat).

    Cheers,

    Brett @ Niner Bikes

I see your "crossposting" from twentynineinches.com. Nice you noticed :-)

From internal to tapered, enlarged chainting clearance, improved geo, Hot colors, looks like you made some serious improvements on the RIP!

Any idea when the site will be updated with the new geo?
And rear dropout options will be unchanged?

I'm a relative newbie, riding a 2010 Niner MCR 9. I think the HT angle on my bike is 72 degrees (100mm fork)

Can someone please explain the basics of what effects different HT angles have, and why a lot of you seem to want lower (i.e. slackened) HT angles?

Is my bike going to become obsolete? I love it, it rides great for me...

By the way: it weird to see that (judging from MTBR), people were crying out for slacker headtube angles, and that when their wish is finally granted, nobody seems to notice

I had to read all the picture comments on twentynineinches.com to notice it. Raw with glow in the dark sounds pretty cool btw.

Yes, thanks for pointing it out hellocook. I've added the change - 69 degrees with 140mm fork on the WFO9.
