Niner: lose the interal cable routing on your carbon bikes

It is a PITA design and I hate it. Nothing wrong with external routed cable routing. You have to take the crank off to route the cables and have increased drag. It just sucks. Lose it now!

Jaybo all you do is ***** about your Niner bike. Why don't you just sell it?

I am considering it. I have not been super excited about it. Luckily Niner is aware of its flaws and is fixing them.

Running the cable full length completely fixed all of my shifting woes. Been great for months now.

I think the internal cable routing lends itself to higher sensitivity, a need for more tuning, and less time sustaining consistent smooth shifting. When it's tuned, it has very little problems. But mine tends to need adjustment any time even the slightest change in cable location on the handlebars may occur.

I'm having good luck with the shifting on my Air RDO. From what I see there Jet RDO got some recent improvements for the rear too.

Niner sent me a fix. It is a bear to install but my shifting has improved a lot. Less drag. I just find internal routing silly but it does make for a pretty bike.
